La Négation des verbes pronominaux

Pronominal verbs follow the same rules for negation as do other verbs. Surround the verb with the negative phrase that suits your needs. If you aren’t comfortable with negatives, it’s a good idea to go back and review the negative lessons and exercises before continuing:

In pronominal verbs, the pronoun is considered part of the verb and therefore goes inside of the negative phrase, with the verb:

Je ne me regarde pas.	Nous ne nous écoutons pas.
Tu ne te maquilles pas.	Vous ne vous détestez pas.
Elle ne s’habitue pas à la conjugaison.	Ils ne s’aiment pas.

In the following exercises, we’ll be using the basic negation: ne… pas.
